George Debbo Telecom is owned and managed by George Debbo, a veteran in the telecommunication industry. He has over 40 years experience, two-third's of which was spent in an operator environment, and one-third of which was spent in the vendor community. He has knowledge and insight on both sides of the telecommunication spectrum, and uses this experience to add value to clients, which include operators, service providers and vendors.

George Debbo has been involved in a number of major telecommunication projects including:
> National Project Manager for the telecommunication infrastructure deployed for the first democratic Elections held in South Africa in 1994. He was awarded the Telkom Managing Director's Award for his considerable contribution to this project, which was completed in record time.
> National Project Manager for the telecommunication services required for the Rugby World Cup Tournament held in South Africa in 1995.
> Management of the Telkom Million Line Project in 1996 and 1997, which was designed to provide a million telephone lines in under- serviced and previously disadvantaged areas within South Africa.
> During his years in the vendor environment George was involved in deploying the nationwide ADSL network in South Africa as well as a Fibre to the Curb (FTTC) network in Uganda, the latter being the first network of this kind in Africa.
